Carolyn and I shot our first wedding on the Sunshine Coast together in 2005. What an utterly nerve wracking experience, and one thing that I swore I would never do again. What I realize now after 7 years of doing the thing I'd swore off, is that we were so focused and blinded by the technical and the self doubt, we were unable to see all the beauty that was unfolding before our eyes. Well we made it through that experience and to our amazement and delight, that first couple we ever photographed were thrilled with the pictures of their wedding and they seemed to be oblivious to the doubt that had plagued us on the day.So with the aid of that positive reenforcement and the marring age of our circle of friends we took on any and every opportunity to photograph weddings over the next year. Word got out, we got a bit better and all of a sudden we were able to truly experience the weddings we were shooting. Thats when things really changed. How can we explain what it is to wake up every day going to a job that is one hundred percent centred on LOVE! How cool is that? And that love which is played out before our cameras at each wedding, is the same love which is infectious and leaves our cheeks aching by the end of the day because of our smiles. Our hearts are changed by the couples we work with and without that gift we wouldn't be the couple that we are. We're a team and we're in it together.
